| Hearing and Vision Screening for Preschool and School Aged Children |
Our state trained and certified technicians provide free vision screening services to children in preschool
and in grades kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th grades. Free hearing screening is done for preschool
children and those in kindergarten, 2nd and 4th grade. Other children may be screened at teacher/parent
request as well as free screenings for any child who is home schooled at any age. Any child not passing
the initial and/or rescreening process is referred back to the parent for further medical evaluation by
a doctor or medical professional. Referrals to other health department or community programs assist with
this process and any subsequent treatment is also available.
