Service Description & Eligibility: Central Michigan District Health Department offers the Heartsaver® Bloodborne Pathogen Course for individuals and worksites throughout the service area. The course is designed for those working in professions where they might come into contact with blood or other body fluids. Participants will learn how to reduce their chance of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and also what to do if they do come into contact with blood or other body fluids. Participants are encouraged to review their organization’s exposure control plan and to receive site specific training from their managers. Training participants are provided with resource information with regards to communicable disease and immunization information. Fees: The course costs $20 per participant and includes a student workbook and class completion card.
Payment Method: Check or cash accepted.
Hours: Office hours are Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 12 noon; 1:00 – 4:30 p.m.
Languages: English, Interpreters are available – please notify us in advance if you need this service.
