Experience in Local Public Health recommended and ability to communicate effectively required.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented and possess exceptional technical skill working with an electronic health record (EHR) system.  Hourly wage $12.99– $17.13.

We need you to help families in our community!

We welcome you to join our team as a Registered Nurse (0.8 FTE, 8 days per pay) in the CLARE and ISABELLA County Branch offices of the Central Michigan District Health Department while improving the health outcomes in the community. Having excellent communication skills to accommodate health related needs in public health programs, while being detail oriented and possessing exceptional technical skills are necessary. Must possess a RN license from the State of Michigan, and have at least one year of experience in maternal/child public health, immunizations and communicable disease investigation; Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly recommended.  CMDHD is a progressive agency that develops people who can and do solve problems on a daily basis.  CMDHD offers a comprehensive benefits package; including health/life/dental insurances and MERS defined contribution retirement with up to 10% employer contribution.    This position also offers a flexible schedule and great work hours, paid holidays, vacation and paid sick leave days with an additional paid days of personal time per year.  Hourly range $22.05-$28.62.

We welcome you to join our team as a Phlebotomist, contractual employee (three to six days per month) in the Clare County and Isabella branch offices of the Central Michigan District Health Department working in the Health Promotion Department.    This candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, familiar with infection control policies and procedures, detail oriented and CPR certified preferred.  Qualifications include Phlebotomy certification and license in the state of Michigan required.   One year clinical experience required.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Hourly wage $18.70/hour.

We are seeking a part time Social Worker, (0.3 FTE/21 hours per pay), at the Central Michigan District Health Department, Osceola County, working in the Personal Health Department.  Licensed Social Worker with BSW required.  MSW is preferred.  Minimum of one-year experience required in providing services to the maternal infant population required.  Home visiting experience preferred.  Hourly wage is $20.01-$28.06.
