Having excellent communication skills to help prevent the spread of infectious disease, while being detail oriented and possessing exceptional technical skills are necessary. Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s in applied sciences or public health and at least 6 months of experience in a public or customer service position recommended.  CMDHD is a progressive agency that develops people who can and do solve problems on a daily basis.  This position also offers a flexible schedule and great work hours that may include weekends.  Hourly range $19.30-$24.43.

Having excellent communication skills to accommodate health related needs in public health programs, while being detail oriented and possessing exceptional technical skills are necessary. Must possess a RN license from the State of Michigan and have at least one year of experience in maternal/child public health, immunizations and communicable disease investigation; Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly recommended.  This position also offers a flexible schedule and great work hours.  Hourly range $22.27-$25.37.

Come be a Peer Counselor, part time, 3 days a pay period, (.3 FTE, 21 hours per pay), in the Osceola County branch office of the Central Michigan District Health Department to support WIC Breastfeeding mothers for the agency.  High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years clerical/technical experience in a clinic or medical office setting required.  Familiarity with the WIC program and breastfeeding experience required.  Hourly range $14.20-$17.13.

We welcome you to join our team as a Phlebotomist, contractual employee (three to six days per month) in the Clare County and Isabella branch offices of the Central Michigan District Health Department working in the Health Promotion Department.    This candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, familiar with infection control policies and procedures, detail oriented and CPR certified preferred.  Qualifications include Phlebotomy certification and license in the state of Michigan required.   One year clinical experience required.  Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.  Hourly wage $18.70/hour.
