Strong Families Safe Children Home Visiting

SFSC Nurse Home Visiting program encourages the promotion and maintenance of health by instruction and participating in area programs. It is comprehensive, direct service to high-risk populations in a variety of settings. (Clinics, home visits, school or other community settings) Instructions are given on health care needs, interpersonal relations, child management, behavior modification, child development and nutrition education. The Central Michigan District Health Department receives its referrals from the Department of Human Services in which we follow up on unsubstantiated reports of child abuse or neglect.
