Our Services: 

 

Communicable Disease Planning 

• Handwashing, hygiene, and oral health education 

• Communicable disease screening and reporting, including COVID-19 

• Provide general education on disease management, including vaccine preventable diseases 

• Work with district to develop policies that will prevent Communicable Disease outbreaks. (Discontinue Perfect Attendance Awards, Stay home when sick, etc.) 

 

Health Promotion Services 

• Attend kindergarten roundups and school orientations to assist with MCIR/vaccination records for students 

• REFRESH hygiene kits  

• Provide vaping education 

• Provide health and wellness education 

• Provide nutrition education  

• Provide physical education and physical activity promotion 

• Serve on wellness committees 

• Coordinate/provide CPR/AED certification to school staff 

 

Mental Health Services 

• Provide mental health resources to students, staff, and parents 

• Promote mental health awareness 

 

Whole Child Support 

• Help to assess student needs and provide resources to address the social determinants of health for students and families 

• Provide leadership for health issues within the school 

• Work with schools to develop policies for health-related topics 

 

Health Services 

• Provide medication information and resources for designated school personnel 

• Participate on MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) 

• Medication administration education
