Reproductive Health Exams

CMDHD offers annual exams for everyone. Most people with a cervix require an annual exam but do not need a pap (cervical) exam every year. At your annual exam, consider discussing birth control/family planning options and any concerns about your sexual health. We can also test you for STIs and renew prescriptions during this appointment, if needed.

STI Screening & Treatment

At CMDHD you can get confidential STI/HIV testing. STI testing is available at low or no-cost; cost is based on your income if you do not have insurance. Services are inclusive to all sexualities and genders. To ensure accurate results, testing should be performed no sooner then 14 days after unprotected exposure.

​Need a Pregnancy Test?

Testing is confidential, including teens, and no one will be denied service based on inability to pay. Upon result of test, a nurse can provide proof of pregnancy, connect you to support resources, proper prenatal care, and or discuss birth control options. ​Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Will my parents have to come to the appointment?

No. The health department functions under a Title X program where your parents do not have to be present. 

Will my parents be notified?

No, they will not be notified. All of our appointments and the information discussed at your visit will remain strictly confidential. We do encourage family involvement IF you have a safe adult in your life.

Will I need my insurance information?

No. You can receive services even if you don’t have insurance. 

Will I need an exam or will I have to get undressed?

If you are under the recommended guideline age of 21 and without symptoms no exam is required. If you have symptoms a urine sample may be collected for testing.
